What you can do

There are a few ways to become involved in DPYK By attending a course for mums and dads or by becoming a licensed facilitator yourself.

Attend a local course

From age 8 upwards, young people progress rapidly from becoming dependent children to independent adults, with rapid physical and psychological changes along the way.

During this stage, young people are vulnerable to the influence of friends and popular culture. They experiment, push boundaries and take risks. Sometimes with serious consequences for their immediate and longer term health and wellbeing.

It’s a tough time for parents too! Knowing when and how to let go, while staying connected and maintaining a strong influence is challenging, to say the least!

The good news is you can prepare yourself and your children to make wise, healthy choices during the teenage years.

DPYK is a 6 week investment that will help you shape your child’s future.

Discover:

  • The reality of alcohol and drug use in the UK
  • The latest research on alcohol and adolescents
  • Vital information and tools to prepare you and your children for the teenage years
  • Strategies to grow wise, resilient and successful children and young people
